Deborah is a designer, trainer and facilitator with an eco-social, whole systems focus.

She currently works with Transition Network www.transitionnetwork.org and also with 8 Shields Institute www.8shields.org. With Transition Network her focus is on practices which support positive change and collaborative culture, plus helping to support Training for Transition internationally. At 8 Shields she is coordinator for the Pathways to Village Building and Designing for Peace programmes, and part of the 8 Shields strategic and design team. Deborah is also a Gaia education trainer and trainer of trainers, with a particular focus on the social dimension of sustainability and participatory facilitation.

Deborah's interest in eco-social design started with an academic background in marine conservation, ecology, stakeholder engagement and environmental education.  After 15 years working in this field she moved into broader areas of resilience and sustainability; with a particular interest in worldview shift, peacebuilding and design for regenerative cultures.
